Roseville has grown tremendously, from a population of under 30,000 when we first moved here to around 160,000 today. We are all beneficiaries of decades of visionary city leadership that led with vision and sound planning. Involved leaders have enriched our community; their legacy is evident in the parks, schools, and neighborhoods that continue to attract new people of all ages to make Roseville their home.
District 5 is a testament to a growing and changing Roseville. Although the southeastern portion of the district has comparatively more established neighborhoods, the district is approaching 50,000 residents west of Fiddyment Blvd. Our district residents suffer from a lack of amenities, traffic loads, incomplete roadways, construction dust, etc.
We have the newest schools (two high schools!), newest parks, and most of the newest neighborhoods in the region. We're a fantastic and diverse combination of young families, retired residents, and a highly educated workforce. Many of our residents are new to the city and it takes time to understand Roseville processes and to trust our leadership. I have patience and I will be here to help acclimate our new residents to our full-service city. I will also be here to listen, understand, and serve the needs of the whole city.
The community has benefitted from a District 5 council representative who is engaged, involved, and responsive - one who listens and advocates for the interests of our residents and has an eye on how decisions made today will impact our future.
I intend to continue this approach of engaged leadership. My personal and professional service track record and long-term investment in making this community a better, safer, and more supportive place for children, families, and seniors to live will continue as your council representative.
